Hello SysCP-Community,

today I decided to release a small bugfix version of SysCP.
It contains many fixes but does no database changes, thus I named it SysCP 1.4.2.1.
I want to thank everyone who has submitted patches and bugreports. This releases resolves the following issues:

  • Domain adding was case-insensitive, allowing same domain to be added multiple times (#1057)
  • Domain panel pagination is faulty, shows too many pages (bug #1157)
  • Adding one-letter-subdomains didn't work (bug #1064)
  • Wildcards are agin allowed in IP/Port configuration (bug #1115)
  • When adding IP/Port combination: Listen Statement not set (bug #1190)
  • Added Debian Lenny 5.0 Configfiles
  • Unable to add one-letter-subdomains (bug #1064)
  • It is not possible to add a forward as subdomain (bug #1015)
  • Admin messages always bounced because of switched email/name (bug #1160, #1040)
  • E-Mail-Accounts with IDN-Domains now work again (you have to change your configuration) (bug #1170)
  • Mail qouta in "email_quota_used" is not changed if mail account is deleted (bug #1107)
  • Customer can disable mail quota (bug #1100)
  • Number for email forwarders for customers not possible to set to unlimited (bug #1158)
  • Fixed lots of warnings in php code (bug #1044, #1048, #1141)
  • In new installations default dir for customers is now /var/customers (bug #1191)
  • Dropdown list of path is not sorted alphabetically (bug #1008)
  • Updated languagefiles (bug #1124, #1153, #1099)
  • Many alias fixes in awstats/webalizer (bug #1077, #1076, #1155, #1118, #1121)
  • Many fixes in the configfiles (bug #1167, #1164, #1192, #1069, #1085, #1161, #1030, #1103)
  • Keep default language when changed by user (bug #1119)

As always you'll find the downloads at files.syscp.org or http://www.syscp.org/download.html.
The direct link to the archive is http://files.syscp.org/releases/tgz/syscp-1.4.2.1.tar.gz.

As RadiatioN left the SysCP-team, this release doesn't contain any updates for the APS installer. There have been several issues, which were also partly fixed. I'm now looking for a new maintainer who fixes bugs and integrates submitted patches for APS. If noone gets in touch with me by the end of april, I have to pull the APS installer from SysCP. In the meantime I can't recommend using it.

This release contains configfiles for Debian Lenny 5.0, which are basically the same as for etch. As I didn't receive much feedback regarding the Lenny Package I suppose it works as intended, so this release is also available as lenny package.
Please contact me if you have any comments, suggestions or other feedback.

We wish you a happy time with SysCP,
Flo and the SysCP-team

I upgraded to lenny today and so far there are indeed no problems with the syscp lenny package. Thanks for the update!

Please dont let the aps installer die.

If the last fixes of radiation are included it should be stable enough to stay in syscp.

Don't know if I made a mistake while updating from 1.4.2 to 1.4.2.1, but the configuration for Lenny > System > Cron shows me a wrong path:
Code:
...
*/5 * * * * root /usr/bin/php5 -q /var/www/syscp/scripts/cron_tasks.php
...

Before updating it showed me the correct path
Code:
/var/syscp/web/scripts/cron_tasks.php

It's not a big problem because I can correct it manually. Just wanted to tell you about it. (sorry if it's my mistake ^^°)

Hey Phil,
the problem for us is, that we have to guess where you installed SysCP and which type of installation you use (Source, SVN, Deb, ebuild) so admins are adviced to double check paths in our given configfiles.

Cheers

Thank you very much for the latest release. Good job everyone. About the APS, definitely don't drop the APS installer. It is a valuable thing to have within SysCP. I will keep my eyes pealed for a maintainer to work on the APS end of things.
